what type of food does the lighterman serve?

The Lighterman, on Granary Square in King’s Cross, London serves Modern British food. Fresh, seasonal dishes from midday through to late dinner during the week and brunch at the weekend as well as our incredible Sunday Roasts. Whether it’s a working lunch by the canal, or an evening celebration, there’s plenty to enjoy.

can i book a table at the lighterman?

Absolutely!

For bookings for up to 14 people you can head to our website, call us on 020 3846 3400 or email reservations@thelighterman.co.uk.

If you wish to book for 15+, email events@thelighterman.co.uk.

You can also amend/cancel bookings through these channels.

can i book the lighterman just for drinks?

Yes! You can book The Lighterman in King’s Cross for drinks only, perfect for groups of 10 or more.  Our guest experience team will confirm availability, just email reservations@thelighterman.co.uk.

can i book an outside table at the Lighterman?

All reservations are for indoor tables. If the sun is shining over Granary Square, just ask our team on the day, if there’s space outside, we’ll seat you there. Our Canalside Terrace operates on a walk in basis only.

does the lighterman accept walk ins?

Yes, we do. We always recommend booking to avoid waiting during busy times.

is there a dress code?

No dress code, simply come as you are.

is the lighterman dog friendly?

It is indeed. Dogs are welcome on the Ground Floor and Canal Side Bar. Bring your four legged friend, water bowls and fuss included.

does the lighterman have gluten free, vegan or vegetarian options?

Yes. Our menus always include gluten free, vegetarian and vegan dishes. We are a great spot for groups with different dietary needs. If you’d like to see the options in advance, email reservations@thelighterman.co.uk.

Yes. All our chicken is halal.

is the broadcaster wheelchair accessible?

Yes, The Broadcaster in White City, is fully accessible on all four floors due to step free access. A wheelchair friendly restroom is located on the Ground Floor.

does the broadcaster offer highchairs?

We are family friendly. If you need a highchair, please give us a heads up at the time of booking!

can i bring my own birthday/wedding cake to the broadcaster?

Yes, you’re welcome to bring a cake for your celebration. There’s no cakeage fee!

does the broadcaster offer private hire, events & weddings?

Yes, we do. The Broadcaster has a range of beautiful spaces available for private hire, from intimate gatherings to full venue take overs.

Even though we don’t usually serve breakfast to the public, we’re happy to accommodate breakfast hires and morning events for private groups. Our Events Team will tailor everything to suit your occasion.

Yes! Every Thursday night and Saturday all day, the rooftop sets the scene with our resident DJs. On the ground floor, Friday Night Live brings acoustic sessions to the pub twice a month. Stay up to date with upcoming events via our What’s On page. www.thebroadcaster.co.uk.

how do i get to the broadcaster in white city?

The Broadcaster is easy to find, we’re right next to the iconic Television Centre in White City, London.

  • By Tube: We’re just a 2 minute walk from Wood Lane Station (Circle and Hammersmith & City lines) & White City Station (Central line).

  • By Overground: Shepherd’s Bush Overground is a short stroll away.

  • By Bus: Several routes stop nearby, including the 72, 95, 220, 272 and 283.

  • By Foot: If you’re exploring Westfield London, we’re a 5 minute walk across the road, perfect for a post shopping spree.

·       Westfield London Car Park: Just a few minutes’ walk away, exit 24/7 with hundreds of spaces.

·       On street parking: Limited paid bays are available around Wood Lane and the surrounding streets (please check local signage for restrictions).

can I pay with cash or amex?

Pay however you wish. We’re not fussy.

do you do gift cards?

Yes, we do! Food is the ultimate love language. Purchase directly through our website.

i’ve lost something at the broadcaster, what should i do?

Please email reservations@thebroadcaster.co.uk with details of the lost item, along with the date, time and booking name. Our team will do their best to reunite you with it.
